Here are some scriptures that you can use as you pray. Remind God what He has said and pray the ones over your life that are appropriate for you.
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (It helps to know HIs will)
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Ephesians 5:31For we are members of His body. 31“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
Ephesians 5:24-31
24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—
30 for we are members of his body.
31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
I use this scripture when I pray for couples. Remember, the Word of God is quick and powerful. It is a living Word. It works to pray His word on your life.
Philippians 2:2-4New International Version (NIV)
2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
** I'll add more scriptures later. Be blessed!
